Bob Dylan, Things have Changed... Even bob haters have GOT to like this track... Looking forward to hearing his new album

"People are crazy and times are strange,

I'm locked in tight, I'm out of range,

I used to care but...

thing's have changed...

This place ain't doing me any good,

I'm in the wrong town,

I should be in Hollywood"

Welcome to the Machine ' PF

SUCH A F&/("£/&£(%ING BRILLIANT SONG.... Shivers down my spine and I must have heard it 10,000 times...

Followed by the equally brilliant Have a Cigar...

Rocking tune... (well, relatively at least, for the Floyd) with memorable guitar work in rythm and solo!

Well Ive always had a deep respect, and I mean that most sincerely.

The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think. oh by the way,

Which ones pink?

I have a question regarding File extensions, that I figured this thread would be the bestplace for:

In Guatemala, we used an independant (not Apple, not MS) DJ mixer Digital program to play our music from, and it could play all formats.

Clearly, a lot of the music donated to us there was from peoples Ipod systems, and was M4A (the Apple progression of MP3, in broad strokes).

Now, back in Europe, I've got only Windows MediaPlayer version 10.0

Anyway to get them to play on this, or do I need yet another program?

Now, back

get another program would be easiest. I recommend Foobar2000, it can play any format.

otherwise you have to convert the M4As to MP3 or WMA. In the process you will probably lose sound quality. The next option would be to try and find a codec for Media Player.

Change to Foobar. It's the freeware too.

was just lookin' thru my decrepid audio cassette selection and pulled out Grandes Exitos! by Los Chalchaleros, an argentine folk group that specialises in argentine sambas...gaucho music...I useta play this stuff on my super duper locally made custom guitar during my exile in Bolivia 40 years ago...bought the tape in Santiago de Chile about 10 years ago

a big hit was 'Samba de mi esperanza', you could hear the melody hummed and whistled on buses and in school yards everywhere...

makes me wanna weep...my chilean girlfriend said, 'why do you listen to that stuff when it makes you sad?...', she didn't understand, but she had a nice ass and misunderstandings were quickly forgiven...

oh yeah...I like 'ol Atahualpa Yupanqui...he useta to tell stories to music...plays a left handed guitar, like Jimi Hendrix...yupanqui is a quechua word meaning storyteller...

while we're at it let's talk about Jorge Cafrune, Eduardo Falu, Ariel Ramirez and Los Fronterizos...if the world could have heard them the landscape of popular music would never have been the same...

(tutsi weeps...he can't help it...)

LOSO. Black & White.

Is that any good? I must buy it.

The Ramones - 23rd and 3rd.

It's got at least 4 really good tracks. Typical Loso music.
