I Need Some Help Please.....................

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone out there. I would like some help or information in regards to bringing my cousin and her daughter to live in Australia. I am a Thai married to an Australian Man. I have a permanent residency in Australia. I would like to bring my Cousin and her daughter to live permanently in Australia. Could someone please help me with ways of doing this if there is a way. My Husband and I have a Restaurant and can support my Cousin financially that is no problem. She would live with us and pay no rent. Her expenses would be covered by us. If someone has any information on this could you please reply. Any Help would be Great!

Thank you!

The visa wizard on the immi.gov.au website didn't specify what visa they would need so I'd presume you'd need to do some reading and see under what circumstances they'd be eligible.

There is no provision for cousins according to the website

Agree with GB.

The family migration stream does not extend to cousins of Australian Citizens/PR's.

If anyone knows of a way that I can bring my cousin to Australia to live I would be

mostly appreciated. There is that many Visa's out there I hope there is one for her. See I have a Restaurant and staff is always a problem and in a Regional area it is very hard to get Thai staff. If I can have my cousin here to help me cook it would be beneficial towards the business.

Thank you!

Hello,

I would like to know how I can bring my Cousin from Thailand to live permanently in Australia. She does not speak much English,Reading and Writing is limited. She doesn't have any recognized skills. She can cook good but so does most Thai Woman. If some one has had luck in this Area please let me know. I have a Small Thai Takeaway/Dining which I have had for around 2 and a half years. I am in a small Regional City and Staff is near impossible to get. I would like to get my cousin here to help me with the business, she will live with me and her expenses will be low. There is a 857 Visa but that one you need recognized skills at a Australian Diploma Equivalent. Then I thought I would find her a lovely man maybe she could meet someone and then fall in Love. Also there is a Student Visa. This one is very expensive though and not suitable. SO if any one out there can help me I would be most grateful.

Thank you!

PS: If there are any migration agents that read this I hope you could help me.

Thank you again...................

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unskilled with no formal qualifications and minimal English literacy skills rules out ALL PR visas (skilled stream) that I can think of.

VERY limited options only with regards to a student visa, with an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) being the only possible option I could see. However the very large costs, extensive eligibility requirements and conditions would definitely not make this a realistic option at all. Also not a PR visa.

With regards to your statement: "Then I thought I would find her a lovely man maybe she could meet someone and then fall in Love". I will leave that one well alone.

Good Luck
