Ok a bit oh back ground here first. I have a Thai G/F of about 1 year. I have been there 2 times now and we are getting serious blah blah. Was about time she come and visit my country, city and family etc. The idea was for us to fill out the visa and provide all info etc to save money. But there was also the time factor. We started the process this year after coming back from Thailand in April. I was not very confident about our chances as she has never travelled before to any country. I did not want any dramas with the visa as we had planned for her to come here this month being October. During the process I had a conversation with Bridge Migration (Richard). This was both when he was in Thailand and Sydney. And I must say he was very helpful even though I had said I plan to do this myself. Then there was the time factor but that was not the main reason for me calling him again and asking if he could do this for us. The main reason was I did not want the drama of missing something and the GF not obtaining a visa. This would make a mess of our plans. All necessary info was sent to him in September this year then he prepared all paper work for me and the GF sent to her all the papers that I had signed and marked where she was to sign. Visa was lodged on the 20th of September and was given the green light on the 28th of the same month.

From our experience I have found Bridge Migration to be very helpful and the professionalism that he showed was fantastic. Also the confidence he gave us both was great. As has been said many times they cannot and the good ones will not give a guarantee of a visa. But what you do get from using someone like Bridge Migration is the peace of mind that every i has been dotted and every T has been crossed. And this would give us the best chance at success as he knows Australian law and the best way to address the criteria etc.

So the question is would we recommend you use a visa agent? Yes and no. I would completely recommend Bridge Migration as for the others I have not used them so I can’t. But bridge Migration was well worth the money.

I hope this helps any out there deciding if this is the right way to go. It can be a good or bad decision that depends on using someone that is not there for the money and making promises they cannot keep.

Cheers

Mick.

PS: My G/F will be here in 2 weeks.

The tourist visa is fairly simple and most people can do it themselves, However, some people cant get their heads around official paperwork etc...If the use of an agent gives you peace of mind then by all means use one.

I havent had professional dealings with Richard but through this site have got to know him a bit, he strikes me as a responsible and very knowledgeable person.
