Hi,I'm aware of the income requirement of 40,000 baht/month or 400,000 lump sum deposited in a Thai bank account in my name only, seasoned for 3 months prior to the application date.

I've just heard a rumour that if there are children in the marriage, either my own or from a previous relationship, then the requirement is increased by 10,000/month for each child.

As I've never read anything about that before I was wondering if anyone has any experience of gaining an extension based on marriage to a Thai national who has children and if this is true or not.

Cheers,Biff

There is no such requirement.

And the time for money in account is two months for first application.

Thank you :) I didn't think there was, worth checking though.

Two months for the first application, duly noted.

Cheers,

Biff
