Tourist Visa+Re Entry Or Tourist Visa+ Visa On Arrival?

Featured Replies

My next trip to Thailand will start end of november until end of february. So i plan to ask for a tourist visa and an extension to have 3 months stay permit.

My question is about a trip i'm planning:

In february, i may go to Hong Kong for few days but i still don't have flight ticket. I've heard that without that ticket, i cannot get a double entry visa.

So what are my options?

-Do i need to ask for a re-entry permit at immigration office before going to HK?

-Can i get a visa on arrival on my return from HK?

-Or do i need to get my ticket first to ask for a double entry visa?

Hope to get some help here.

Thank you.

When you return from Hong Kong you will get a 30 day entry stamp. It is not a VOA.

(I am assuming that you are French)

As said it would not appear you need a two entry visa if you qualify for visa exempt entry and plan to leave Thailand within 30 days or second arrival.

As for the need of ticket to get two entry that would be a local Consulate decision.

Yes, I'm french and I'm usually using the 30 days visa stamp (I thought that

was a visa on arrival, my mistake) for my trips to LOS. But I wasn't sure I could get that stamp after I used a tourist visa few days earlier.

Yes you can. No problem. :)
