October 8, 201015 yr Hello, I live in Thailand. I and my wife are applying for an IR-1. We received the approval letter from USCIS 6 weeks ago but have not received package 3 from NVC. I read that for IR-1 the packet is sent from America. Anyone know what a normal wait time for the packet to bangkok is? I'm wondering if I've missed a step, should we start some process while waiting, should I email NVC, or should we just continue waiting for the packet? Because we live together in Bangkok are they still going to ask for an agent? My understanding is NVC receives the DS-3032, then a case number is assigned, then you pay, but I've read other things that imply you pay first, so are they waiting for money before they send us the packet. One website stated to use "CIS (NOA) receipt number from your approval" to call and get a case number. Isn't this sent with packet 3? There was no such number with the approval letter. I hope this isn't too mumbled, thanks for any help.
October 21, 201015 yr I am confused? You brought the petition to the USCIS office in Sindhorn Tower 2 and paid $355? You have to pay again after this?
