I want to bring my Thai girlfriend along with me on a visa run. Can somebody tell me what country would be easier for her to accompany me? Cambodia or Lao, would she need a visa for either countries? I was reading a thread that seemed to say thai's need a visa to get into Cambodia.

if your going to los over the border at mukdahan she would not need to have a visa. she won,nt even have to pay . unlike you .

It was my recollection that my Thai gf had to pay a small amount for the free few day pass. At Nakhon Phanom I seem to recall that Thais had to fill out short application forms and produce a photo (or have their pictures taken) for that small fee. That was a couple of years ago though, so may have changed.

The same goes for Cambodia. A one or three day pass is (usually) available fo a small fee for the Thai nationals to cross.
