News_Editor Posted October 8, 2010 Share Posted October 8, 2010 Afghan governor Omar dies in mosque bombing 2010-10-08 17:12:58 GMT+7 (ICT) KABUL (BNO NEWS) -- An Afghan governor was killed on Friday afternoon when a bomb exploded at a mosque in northern Afghanistan, police said. Kunduz governor Mohammad Omar was at the Shirkat mosque in neighboring Takhar province when a bomb exploded near him, police said, adding that many others were also killed. An exact number was not immediately available. The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said it was aware of the incident.
