I am two weeks into my second 30 day visa on arrival flying in from bali. I was initially just coming to bangkok to train for 1 month in a muay thai gym then fly to South Korea to work.... However ive changed my mind now and have some fights lined up and met a good group of friends so i want to work here in bangkok. I'm just at the last stages of finishing my TEFL now (i also have bachelors degree) so i can find a job without too much hassle as some of my friends are also teaching here.

I've spoken to so many people now and each has given me a different answer so id like to clear it up here if possible. Some of the people i have spoken to who are working here said that their work permits have taken 4-5 month+ to arrive. Whats is the best thing to do regarding which visa i should get if the work permits take so long to process? The 30 day visa on arrival is expiring 25th of this month. I have been told by somebody i should go to the thai embassy in singapore to get my next visa?

Age: 22

Uk passport holder

Dont currently have a job in thailand but am applying soon

Which visa should i apply for next? Where do i go for it? (if singapore how many days would i need in singapore?), What do i need to take with me in regards of documentation? Do i have to apply in advance before i go? Is there a price for the visa?

If someone could please give me some advice, id appreciate it.

Thanks

Richard

You have a visa exempt entry now - it is not a visa. If you can find work get the paperwork together as you need a non immigrant B visa entry to obtain the work permit (although you can apply without that visa).

It appears you are not ready to teach yet so a tourist visa from Vientiane or PP would be the normal run and visa is currently free but you need visas to enter those countries. I expect you could also obtain in KL or Singapore if you want to fly there. You can not work on such a visa but you could apply for a work permit and then with paperwork make another trip for the B visa.
