Ignore it as in not avoid hearing tidbits, vs not follow the story,

I want to play a joke on my Thai wife and get all up to date on this. I now know she has been talking to friends about this now. But I had no idea the story was so big or who were the players.

Don't try to make joke about this if you don't even understand the language.

There's another reason as any of us who's wife is Thai knows: never ever try to make jokes with the wife if you value your life (or your family jewels)

I wonder if, as a single mom, she would still be out of your guy's league.
