Making Money With An Internet Business

This is going to sound extremely condescending, but why would someone who is making money on the internet wish to share their idea with the world?

Thatll be the best way of putting themselves out of business.

LOL good point Englander

I was hoping to find someone that had ideas that could help them as well

Like a joint venture or something that if shared would help each other

Or a Business on Internet that they want promoted?

If its already making money then I would not share it. So i think you don't have much luck. I do make money with an internet business and I have seen many of my clients do the same. The thing is you have to be creative, know your way around the internet and be one step ahead of others.

Something that works now wont work forever.

My clients are in the business of generating traffic and building sites. Im just a simple accountant doing his business over the internet. That works for me.

There will be better experts than me here, but as a business person I've picked up some things on the way, as you do. You may or may not know - and many people I have come across operating websites surprisingly don't - that its not just a case of sticking a site online if you want the traffic to come. Search engines are the key generator, and those searches will be tied into your product and all the variations describing it and what it does.

First you need to ensure site optimisation with key words all of which assist with search engines (this may mean a rewrite if you haven't done that); then you have to focus on search engine ranking so you're not buried in a sea of results.

Again, apologies if you know all this - google SEO (search engine optimisation) and you can read up a lot on it if not.

Hope it goes well

before looking into getting more traffic. Spend like.. 50$ usd on getting a web designer, you're page could of been done by a VERY slow 5 yo kid.

i mean, just your pictures, you can see all the cuts on it made in microsoft paint. Most people see those cheap site and think "Oh great an other herb or spirit worshiping nutcase that spent 2mins on a page to make easy money"

Also remove that harry potter pictures... Besides fat ladies and dungeon and dragon players, most people do not care much for him.

would also help if you had better prices and bigger quantity in those bottles. I mean if people really want those medecine, they are for sale everywhere in the real world for pretty cheap.

if its a thai business, make a thai website, thais buy any crap you tell them to buy. Look at the 4sale channels on the TV.

if its international, find a better creditcard payment than paypal. Lots of people avoid paypal. Paypal used to be a scummy alaskan company who stole tons of $ from tons of people before ebay bought them. There's websites for 5$ a month that give you a pure visa/mastercard checkout system.

Last thing. Bright blue and red on a black background hurts the eyes.

Maybe because your website is untidy, difficult to navigate and full of stupid adverts?... start by getting someone who knows what they are doing in website design. I've seen some <deleted> websites in my time and this one looks like a 12 year old students' attempt...

Sorry, but you are way behind the ball. Please do make sure that your ''herbal, safe to use'' product is in fact so. If you are hoping that people will order your product then it needs to comply with the regulations in that country.

Snake oil salesmen are still snake oil salesmen, no matter how you dress it up.

Or maybe because your product like so many are crap.

There is no information regarding ingredients just a picture of Harry Potter?

Is your product just Paracetamol hence the name Sara?

I don't want to sound unpleasant however after 3 years you would have thought that marketing a product with a picture of yourself and your good lady is something nobody will try. If I take mediction herbal or prescription I know what is in it and what it does, don't insult peoples intelligence by saying its herbal but you don't knowwhats in it and expect them to buy.

I don't think that's an accurate history of Paypal. I don't care for them much either though.

As for biz on the net, the OP should probably be working his/her way towards at least having one's own merchant account.

As for what to sell... well that's the trick idn't it?

:)

Id agree with this, id take your picture off the website and off your products bottle.

Go and have a look at some of the fancy bottles of pills in Boots and do something similar.

I agree with those who say the website needs work. Really I'd start again. I read about the Harry Potter photo before I looked at the site but when it loaded....my reaction was...geez that's great big picture of Harry Potter!

I know it's meant to illustrate the article about some kind of endorsement by the actor but the picture is way way too prominent and the article could do with a re-write. It shouldn't be the first thing you see on the site, it's a kids movie and doesn't really have anything to do with what you're selling.

Basically, I think you need to start from scratch and get the site re-done more professionally. Then you'll need to do the SEO thing and get your google rankings up there for the keywords for your market.

Someone needs to look at your business as a whole and design the site to enhance what you already have going on.

It looks poor at the moment.

Do some google searches yourself for similar products and see what the competition is.

You need to know your market and target it specifically.

Good luck.

I am glad that there hasn't been much traffic to your product. You are promoting a "remedy" to the public that has not been tested for product safety. Your product is most likely manufactured in a facility that doesn't meet the most basic requirements set out under the Thailand medicinal ingredients manufacturing guidelines. I'm sorry if this reads as mean, but I have seen far too many "natural" products tainted with contsaminants or that are snakeoil treatments to have any sympathy for people promoting such products.

Maybe your product works. If that's the case, then approach one of the teaching facilities that deal with pain treatments and ask them to assist with a clinical trial. If you can demonstrate that your product is safe and effective you will have thousands of daily orders.

Thanks to everyone for the imput! capKnuckle,bifftastic,geronimo,mojo80,Englander,Heng,saraburioz,and Scully

The site itself is only 5 Mo's old, and I have to agree it isn't well done. (YEP too Cheesy indeed) Now seeking a Web designer

Sara is a Food & Herbal Nurse, and she created this Herb specifically for ME that deals with Chronic Pain in 2006

It totally took away MY Chronic Pain issues, and people started to ask us to help them too.

We have done well with sales by word of mouth.

So we think we will stick with word of mouth for now until we can do justice to our Website.

We use a Certified Thai Manufacturing Co.

And will now consider doing a clinicl trail on our product as suggested by (geriatricked).

Our Herb is a great alternative that helps get rid of pain naturally.

Here are the Ingredients in our Herb:

Blk Current

Cats Claw

Chinese Skull Cap

Cur cumin

Devil's Claw

Enchinacea

Evening Prime Rose

Fever Few

Ginger

Honey

Lapachol

Licorice

Meddow Sweet Myrrh Pulp

White Willow Bark

Proprietary Herbs;

Pineapple Stem

Dragon Fruit Rhine

MangoSteen Rhine

Nut Meg

**Various other Inflammation Directed Herbs in very small amounts, that help magnify positive effects.

Again great imput and this has certainly helped Sara & I to rethink our approach.

This is your problem. A website with a single offering is a very hard sell indeed.

If you intend to keep it this narrow, you will have to PPC like mad and bid strongly for related keywords. Be sure to set negative keywords so you don't pay for traffic that has no chance of converting.

Limit the number of clicks from info to purchase to be no more than 3. You need to be clear about what call-to-action you want for every page you serve.

Don't use a gmail account to conduct business, it does not build trust. You should be able to set up email for your domain. I suggest you use Google Apps, fantastic free tools for ecom.

Who is your target market for this product and what territories are you aiming to sell in? Prices are quoted in $ only.

No social media coverage? No Skype? No Live Chat?

Your last article was published in 2008? You need to keep it updated but better yet, remove the date! And word count, lol!

Mailing list call-to-action needs to be above the fold.

These should be some things to think about. I can't stress enough that with something this niche, PPC will be your friend. Ultimately, you want a traffic profile that's a 1/3 split between organic, paid and referral traffic. This will however be a long term goal and generating decent referral and organic traffic for a single product website will be tough.

I see the link you are trying to make with Radcliffe, but your splash page is not necessarily the page to do it.

E-commerce is my thing. I was lucky enough to work for a great company, early in my career, in very competitive industries: the 3 Ps, Porn, Pills and Poker.

Happy to keep giving you things to think about.

Change your slogan

"Tastes horrible" will not attract anyone. Although it may be true, think about what medicine, herbal or otherwise DOES taste good. No point in mentioning in some cases disappears altogether, just leave it as something that will relieve.

Also I do agree get a real web designer as if your site looks cheap and effortless people are going to think your product is cheap and effortless.

Good luck mate :-)

Anyone here on Thai Visa that know how to make money with an Internet business. I've been trying 3 years without success.

You're looking at an internet business: this very website.

Take a look at the whole page and take a look at the source.

It's covered in advertisements. Click on one and some money goes into Thaivisa's pocket.

While you load a single page from this website, the following websites are visited repeatedly for ads:

pagead2.googlesyndication.com/

pubads.g.doubleclick.net

Next, you gather as much information as you can from visitors, this site does that with

hits.truehits.in.th/data/f0009453.js

hits.truehits.in.th

www.google-analytics.com/ga.js

www3.effectivemeasure.net/v3/em_js

widgets.amung.us/a_pro.js

With that information, you can increase your revenue from advertisements.

Next thing to do (I admit that's the hardest part): get loads of visitors on your website and wait for them to click on advertisements.

And, not the least important: secure your income, make sure nothing happens that might jeopardize your revenue.
