Has anyone had this happen?
When I did some building extensions in the Pattaya house I removed the wiring before new walls and roof extension. I usually treat everything as live even though main breakers etc turned off. Up to the last wires I was tempted to just do with my hands, but luckily I used my insulated pliers and while removing the wires I shorted them with the pliers and a great big flash nearly blinded me.. .scary. I checked the cable and it went straight back to the incoming mains cable. No consumer unit no circuit breaker. Maybe wired like that from the start. -

UK-Politics 25 Lies - How is Starmer still in office
Brexit was never going to happen Neither was Trump becoming POTUS. And despite lawfare, establishment pushback, both happened. The tide is turning in the UK, whether you wish to believe it or not. -

Thai - Cambodia Conflict Thai Army Keeps Border Checkpoints with Cambodia Closed
Yes indeed. (reference Google) During the Vietnam War, the United States utilized seven Royal Thai Air Force bases as staging hubs for operations in Laos and Cambodia. These included Udon Thani, Nakhon Phanom, Takhli, Ubon, Korat, Don Muang, and U-Tapao. These bases supported a wide range of missions, including air strikes against North Vietnam. -

Tourism Thailand Losing Tourist Edge to Vietnam and South Korea
Not sure I get the part about South Korea. In the report it talks about South Korea's visa free scheme, but in the article it only refers to 1 million South Koreans going to Vietnam. I know Thais like going to South Korea on tours (like they go to Japan). Not sure other foreigners other than Chinese and Japanese would consider more than a couple of days in Seoul (compared to Thailand, which would still be the international favorite I think - over travel to South Korea. Maybe via a Korean airline in transit, but that's about it I think). -
