Driving To Laos.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the flooding up north has affected the roads and if there are any closures I should know about?

I need to do a visa run to Laos and my normal mode of transport would be the train, but when I called to book a ticket this morning I was told that the trains are not running because of the floods and I have left it too late to book a plane ticket (my last day on my visa is the 25th) so I will drive.

I have done this before and know the route I want to take but can't find any travel information regarding the roads/flooding. I will be travelling from Pattaya to Nong Khai so if anyone at all knows of any closures that I should avoid could they please let me know.

Thanks.

E.
