Something confusing here, after click 'become a fan' I have to accept mailing lists, I not accept any mail, can become your fan but no mail please, so I cancelled.Perhaps you can change the settings then I can try again.

For your information, it appears that even when one not accepts the mailing list the fan request will be proceeded normally.
