Immigration Office For Check In

Recommended Posts

I currently live 100 kilometers south of Phetchebun. Is there a immigration office in that area or district for the 90 day check in. Before I went to the Bangkok office and it's a day or 2 process. To go there & back. I don't like to mail my passport to immigration office, I lost my passport before and I want to keep my passport in sight. Thanks for any help.

You do NOT mail your passport. Only photo copies of passport and current TM.47 receipt, new TM.47 form signed, copy of TM.6 both sides and a stamped self addressed envelope. Send via registered mail and keep mail receipt until you receive new TM.47 receipt.

This is the latest requirements as posted by buadhai recently

I just got my receipt of notification back from Immigration. I mailed the TM47 to them (registered mail) about two weeks ago.

The handout that was returned with the receipt doesn't mention signing the photocopies. It asks for photocopies of:

1. photo page of passport

2. current visa

3. departure card

4. last entry stamp

Changes from the previous handout I got are:

1 - Self-addressed envelope needs a 10 baht stamp. This up from 5 baht before.

2 - Mailing address is now:

Room 20b, Immigration Bureau (was room 401 before).

3 - Phone number is now: 0-228-3101 thru 10 ext. 2263 (ext. was 2240 before)

The current address listed by immigration for reporting is
Send the mail to

Sub-section 1, Command 4, Administrative Command, Immigration Bureau (90 days)

507 Soi Suanphlu, South Sathorn Rd.

Thungmahamek, Sathorn

Bangkok 10120

or

90 DAYS REGISTRATION

IMMIGRATION BUREAU,

507 SOI SUANPLU,SOUTH SATHORN RD.,

THUNGMAHAMEK SATHORN

BANGKOK. 10120

An online TM.47 form for download can be found here

lopburi3, My check in date is 15 October. Do I mail it to immigration 2 weeks before. Will they accept it then or does it have to be closer to my check in date.

Thanks for all your help & info.

I am just curious about the postage rates

To send the 90 day notification to immigration should cost 32 baht EMS rate or 5 baht ordinary letter rate as with all the paperwork copies and return envelope inside it will weigh over the minimum of 24 grammes.

For them to send it back as it is only the envelope, the new blank form and the small notification-date slip should only cost 3 baht or 27 EMS .

There is not a 10 baht postal rate for anything.

Letters of 101 grammes to 250 are 9 baht then over 250 it jumps to 15 baht.

I must ask immigration what they do with all the stamps, I collect them.

I believe they also return all paperwork copies (passport/entry stamp) so it would probably be over 101 grams. The under 100 rate is 5 baht not 3 baht anymore.

[Lopburi,

I'm nitpicking....postal rates for letters is up to 24 grams 3 baht, 25 to 100 grammes 5 baht

In four years I have never had Nong Khai return any copies of my passport when doing a 90 day report. All I get back is the new blank form and the small notification slip off the bottom of the previous form. It might be a new thing but it would be very new as my last report was less than a month ago.

There's probably as many ways of doing things as there are officers doing them.

Your probably right as I have never done the mail report but recall someone recently mentioning that he gets copies back and reuses them the next time.
