JetBlue announces seasonal service from Long Beach, California to Anchorage

LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) -- JetBlue on Wednesday announced a new seasonal service from Los Angeles' Long Beach Airport to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, starting on May 26, 2011.

"Anchorage is in high-demand for California residents and we are pleased to continue offering our Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Orange County customers more variety and more options to the places they want to go," said Scott Laurence, vice president of route planning for JetBlue.

The Long Beach to Anchorage flight will depart at 7:40 p.m. land will arrive at 11:57 p.m. The flight back will depart at 1:10 a.m. and will arrive in California at 7:33 a.m.

The service will be operated to the northernmost city in JetBlue's expanding route network with the airline's fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
