Where To Treat Fertility Problems In Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

Hi toe verybody !:D

I am looking for some help, plesae, relaed to find a decent place in Chiang Mai to treat fertility problems for my wife and/or myself in Chiang Mai. We are looking to have children with unsuccesful results. We went to Lanna Hospital to see an specialist but the first think that I have faced, as always when you get inside a hospital in Chiang Mai, is with what I consider a scam on the drugs recommneded. The doctor has recommend us to start a treatment with a drug called Clomid, which I have read in internet that is quite common for fertility problems. My surprise comes when I went to get the pills on the counter in the hospital and they wanted to charge 8100 Baht for 45 pils of Clomid 50. I decided not to buy them , as I know that normally they charge more than double for medicines. I went to a pharmacy but they told me that this drug can only be found in hospitals. Then I searched in internet and It looks like that the price of this drug, at least outside Thailand ,is less than half. Does anyone knows where I can find this Drug in this country at a reasonable price? Or does anyone konows a place in Chiang Mai(Clinic, hospital or private doctor) for fertility problems that is reliable and not try only to make money on drug prescriptions?

Thanks a lot for your help,;)

Cheers,

If saving money is important then try a basic troubleshooting strategy first, through elimination: First you have sex with other women, then see if that produces results. After that you know where the focus of medical attention should be.

Or quit wasting time and find an IVF clinic; another advantage of that is that you get to pick the gender of your kids.

Go to an IVF clinic and have a sperm test first. If you'

re a farang man then the odds are that the problem is yours, not hers, and if so

them much easier to solve with IVF! Only about 500 baht.

Kullapat Clinic

is very good and comes highly recommended. They treat a lot of Thai/Farang couples.

There's a professional fertility clinic located betweeen Kad Suan Kaew and the Yamaha dealership on Huay Kaew Road.

If you're a farang man then the odds are that the problem is yours, not hers, and

Why is that? Are Thai men more fertile?

No, it's the same principle as road accidents - the farang is always to blame

I second David's recommendation, the clinic seems a reliable and professional outfit although I'd do some reading up on options before going as they didn't propose what I would assume are the simpler (and cheaper) possibilities at our consultation.

Thought we'd wait for the pound to improve...

IVF is 500 baht??? Jeez, I had no idea... that's almost cheaper than testing your sperm at RAM...
