Has Anyone Else In Isaan Using T T & T With 3Bb Been Told It'S Finishing?

Featured Replies

(Note to mods: This is not a duplicate of my thread in Internet/computer forum. I'm seeking local information. Thanks.)

3BB staff visited my home between Sakon Nakhon and Phanna Nikhom yesterday, informing tomorrow, Mon 8th, they end their internet service via T T & T phone lines. Has anyone else in the area had this problem? Thanks.

They are installing their own cables and discontinuing the TTT/TOT phone cables.

We were connected up two weeks ago and it is much better in our case. Khon Kaen.

Thanks for that. It seems different here due to isolated area. They can't run a cable, but said someone like CAT could. So I might as well cut and run, instead subscribing to CAT only.

Shame 3BB only gave us 2 days warning!

In our small town in Buriram Province several weeks ago the Triple T staff came to our home and stated they would soon install Triple T cables and we could discontinue our telephone line. About 10 days ago they showed up and told us they had in fact switched our INTERNET service to new Triple T dedicated cables and we could go to the T.O.T. office and discontinue the telephone service. Being cautious I waited a couple of days but was very pleased with the speed and MUCH GREATER DEPENDABILITY of the Internet service from Triple T. I picked up our fixed line telephone to make a local call and no dial tone. What they had in fact disconnected our telephone, but we then went and did an official end of service paperwork procedure at the local T.O.T. office.

I then switched from what years ago was a "Maxnet Premier" service to a 890 baht plus vat Triple T service plan and it is just as fast for Youtube.com and other "International" web sites in my opinion.

If in fact they are SWITCHING your internet service to dedicated Triple T cables it could in fact be excellent news for your internet experience. It may also enable you to consider other packages when via the T.O.T. lines far less options were actually available.

Because 3bb can't confirm if and when they can put in cables in my area, I'm switching to CAT CDMA. Fingers crossed for good reception when it gets installed later this week.
