90 Day Visa

Hi Gang, A friend from the US. Who is currently traveling in asia. Asked me this question: Can he get a 90 day double entry tourist visa some were in asia. A couple of years ago I got one from the Thai consulate in LA. Just drop passport off in the morning and pick it up in the after noon. Can someone tell me/him if it can be done around here? Outside Thailand

A tourist visa is 60 days, to be extended by another 30 days. A double would mean 2 entries of 60 days, each to be extended by 30 days.

Dubble entry torist visas are availeble from Vientianne, Laos, and are currently free. Extensions still costs 1,900 baht each.

This bring to mind a question I thought of. This has to do with people that are all ready in Thailand and have to make visa runs every two weeks. Could they not fly from here to Laos and get the 60 day visa?

Yes, they can apply for a tourist visa there.

Are you saying. If a person had many two week visa stamps in his passport. He my be reject. And not get any kind of visa?
