Thai Driving Licence

Have a query regarding my Thai driving licence (i dont have a licence from any other country. Took the test here.)

It wiII expire around Feb, and wiII need to renew.

But..recently i changed my visa from a non Imm to a tourist. I wiII get another Non Imm after the tourist visa expires, but for my purposes at the moment a tourist visa was my onIy viabIe option.

WiII a tourist visa be a probIem when renewing my Thai Iicence? ..aIso tax on my bike.

Will likely depend on where you renew dl. Your supposed to have non-immig but some places will let slide on tourist. For motor vehicle reg. no problem.

I just renewed my license yesterday and a sign was posted that addressed that specific issue.

The sign said that with a tourist visa you can get another one year license every year but cannot get a five year license.

This was at the Pattaya area office so of course it could be different where you are.
