Right now for those who live in Pattaya, we know which dance clubs stay open until 5 or 6am in the morning. Having a 24 hour zone for a restricted area such as Walking Street woiuld be fine if there were NO "pay under the table" joints around the city staying opened until 5 or 6 am (some of these places get to stay open because of paying some big policeman). If the city was "tuned in"with modern times, they would have the city zoned for where the massage parlors, and bars can be and what areas they CANNOT BE -- period.

There will be more positive results as outcome than negative.

You are looking at this from a farang point of view. Beer bars are being torn down for new hotels and malls. I was in central Pattaya today....lots of new construction. Pattaya is growing for sure. Good stuff...at least for us who own property! Long term, property will rise, Pattaya will prosper.

Only a guess...but not long ago, where we live near the Ambassador, was kinda out in the country. Now...it is well developed and property prices in this area have increased dramatically. So, assuming the same progress happens in the future, property prices will rise as they have over the past 10 years.

Our hope is the "casino" near us becomes legalized! :)

UH??????????? If you watch the Pattaya News there have been at least 3 couples this year caught having sex on the beach/ in the water this year. Russians (I guess they get frisky with the warm sea water)

I agree, considering the numbers of drunks here on holiday,it is quite civil. The crimes and such are due to "ting tongs"not being "street wise" such as walking along

Beach Rd after 2am; not hiding valuables when bringing a guest to the hotel room; or some other clueless behavior.

Been living in Pattaya for over 2 years and i am yet to see drunken sex tourist day time roaming the streets.

The only place where those can be seen is Walking street or soi Buakhao.

You will never find one in any other areas.

As many have said simple Zoning.

Some people come for the beach, some come for the girls and some come for weather and sightseeing. Pattaya is big enough to fit and accomodate everyone.

I must say though, as it is now, i think its pretty well structured. All the night life is around Walking and Buakhao,once you step away from those areas, not only hardly ever see a tourist but local bars close pretty early because locals either head to Walking or to bed.

For expats or tourists who are bothered by the night scene or the sex tourist, just move away from the main locations and you will not see it, smell it, touch it or hear it.
