60 Baht (yes Sixty)

Featured Replies

I have in my possession some 60baht notes (yes SIXTY)

Apparently these were printed to commemorate the 60th birthday of King Rama IX in 1987. The notes are in uncirculated condition. Is there anyone out there who knows the current value? Have they become a bit of a collectors item. ?

I also have a 100 baht note commemorating HM Queen Sirikit 72nd Birthday, complete with a presentation cover describing the note.

Anyone any idea, if these are worth more than face value

Thanks in advance

CF

My guess would be about 100-150 Baht each.

It takes some time. I have several hundred silver dollars that over 80 years old, but most are only worth about $20-30 each, with the rare exceptions worth 3-4 times that.

:o

You're talking about the BIG square 60 Baht commemorative notes

I think millions were printed and are worth very little above face value.

Basically are worth what someone is willing to pay

I know people are trying to sell these on ebay, a lot pass with no bids or sell for 80 or 90 Baht.

The 100 Baht notes, they are asking more, but not selling too many, some are asking 700/800 Baht

They are legal tender but I doubt that many are tendered.

Can anyone remember the special 500 baht notes?

I had a few of them around 1998 and got pissed one night and spent them all by mistake. They are worth a bit now I think.
