ATLANTA (BNO NEWS) -- Delta Air Lines on Friday reported that system traffic in November 2010 increased 7.5 percent compared to November 2009 on a 7.5 percent increase in capacity. Load factor was slightly down 0.1 points to 79.5 percent.

The airline said domestic traffic increased 5.3 percent year over year to 9.09 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 8.63 billion RPMs in November 2009. Domestic capacity was increased by 4.5% in November to 11.3 billion available seat miles or ASMs from 10.8 billion ASMs in November 2009. Domestic load factor for November rose to 80.3% from 79.8% in November 2009.

Meanwhile, international traffic for November rose 11.3% to 5.49 billion RPMs from 4.93 billion RPMs in November 2009. International capacity was increased by 12.6% in November to 7.02 billion ASMs from 6.23 billion ASMs in November 2009. International load factor for the month fell to 78.2% from 79.2% in November 2009.

Passengers boarded for November rose 5.8% to 12.8 million from 12.1 million in November 2009.
