MAJIC
Well in the UK it means V for Victory, which was Winston Churchalls sign in many a photo shoot during WW2. Stationary it means: Two, as a signal. Reversed and drawn towards the body, means:"Up yours" derogatory of course. My Wife's explaination as to the meaning in Thailand is: "cant tell you, dont know in English" Hmmm.....now I am curious! EvilDrSomkid
It is sick if it has gotten so far that it is not allowed to post harmless pictures of childen. it is and it will get worse unless someone puts the fascists back in their box. Something to do with avoiding even the remote possibility of this:

mogoso
It's got NOTHING to do with sex. Even little children use the finger signs. I've got dozens of pictures to prove that but moderators asked me not to post pictures of children. Since I was a little child I've used a one finger salute hand sign many times over the years, especially in traffic situations where its use was warranted. Are you serious about being asked not to post pictures of children? If yes, has everybody gone mad, Makes me think of knee jerk reactions you see in some nations politics. it is and it will get worse unless someone puts the fascists back in their box. It has nothing to do with harmless children, knee jerks, politics or fascists, but about personal security and invasion of privacy. I and others have posted pictures of children on here but they have been my area of resonsibility, i.e my children or those related to me or of parents or guardians that have given their blessing. Gratuitous pictures displaying children without the prior consent of a responsible guardian is unacceptable, even when given the use of such media should be used with caution. MiG16
Thanks mossfinn for helping clear that up about the privacy issue. We have no written rule to cover whose photos you display, but we do try to use discretion on a case by case basis. if you say they are pics of your own children we can't really stop you. eventhough they may or may not really be your children. (we have no way of determining that and to a large extent trust and expect our members to be honest respectable and responsible adults) However if the photos are of young girls in what could be viewed as a borderline compromising pose and knowing those in the pictures are not aware they are being published on this forum then we rather err on the side of caution.
