i am looking for a band to play a few gigs for me, a good mix of music, from disco to motown etc...

Why not ask one of the bands already playing in the bars if they know a group who needs work.

Where will they ne playing and for how long, also what kind of budget are you looking at.

Plenty of Thai bands out there but in my experience it's not easy finding the Filipino bands. Because of the whole work permit situation they are nearly all contracted to specific bars, working 6 nights per week. I tried looking recently for a Filipino band for a friend's birthday party and ended up drawing a blank.

Actually, I just remembered that someone told me that if you speak to San Miguel and involve them in whatever event your planning (sponsorship or whatever), they can supply a Filipino band.
