Gyms In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

I will be moving to Chiang Mai in October and one thing I am going to miss is the Sheraton Fitness Club. It's worth every Baht of the annual 20k fee. It has an excellent collection of machines, treadmills with built-in LCD monitors, cable TV, the usual free weight armada, a cocktail bar, free papers, sauna, a hot jacuzzi with stucco art, marble tiled shower cabins with high-powered shower heads, a beautiful swimming pool set in a tropical garden and very friendly Sheraton-trained staff.

Is there anything like that in Chiang Mai?

Cheers, X-Pat

There's a thread on here already about gyms. You may want to read that as well. However; it seems like a new one is popping up all the time.

Chiang Mai has a bunch of good health clubs, but they are either inconvienient or missing something.

Powerhouse gym has some of the best equipment, but no swimming pool. Same with the excellent gym above Rimping supermarket.

Powerhouse, just off Thanon Nimmanhemin, is your best bet for good kit...about 15k per annum.

Most likely you can try them all out at least one day for free. I know that Platinum will give you a pass. World Club is gone but there is still:

Powerhouse

Platinum

Fitness Thailand

Body & Soul

Orchid Hotel

Hillside Condo

Good hunting! :o
