TAIPEI : Hundreds of Thai workers torched a building and clashed with riot police in southern Taiwan during a protest over "unreasonable" rules banning drinking and gambling at their work dormitory, police said.

The riot erupted late Sunday night near a construction site for a subway system in Kangshan city, a police officer at Kangshan police bureau told AFP.

LMAO! Allow them to get pissed and watch Thai TV and they'll behave themselves.

Things calmed down after the Taiwan employers agreed to ease restrictions on drinking, the use of mobile phones and to allow the workers to watch Thai TV.

employers = guards

workers = inmates

Perhaps farang working in Thailand should use the same tactics to protest against some of the execrable working conditions imposed by Thai employers.

I always calm down after watching Thai TV; in fact, sometimes I fall asleep whilst watching it.
