Hi expats. I am looking for a good used motorbike to buy here in Koh Samui. My budget is within 20K-40K. I'm looking for 125cc range motorbikes, e.g. Yamaha Nuovo Elegance, Honda Air Blade, etc. Any suggestions?

Honda shop in Maenam usually has a few second hand bikes, might be worth a try....

Lots available privately if you ask around, but make sure it has the right papers.... or you'll have problems re- registering it....

Oh! and check the oil! .... if dip stick dry ..... forget it!

it is worth adding around another 10 k and buy brand new honda click. they are around 50 k; would hate for u to spend 40 k then have problems later also some companies offer promotions with new bikes like 1 year free inssurence and they will register the nike in your name. you have to go to immergation and pay them 500 baht for a guarentee paper.

u have to do this when buy any vicheal in your name. if u buy private then u might have a nightmare being a fornag and transfering.

normally a thia pops up and says that they will put it in there name for you. this is a good way to lose you bike if things go wrong. believe me i have seen many problems in the past where people put there CRV in their wives name just because they cannot be bothered to go to immergation and pay 500 baht.
