I am looking to buy a second-hand jeep, anything from a Willy's to a Sahara, and build it into a respectable off-road performer.

I live in Chonburi, and have the time, the skills, the tools, and the funds. Several good builds to my name in the USA.

I have no exerience whatever buying used, building, or getting modifications inspected in Thailand.

I understand the Green Book registration process some, and I am aware that some modifications can be done legally to improve safety and handling, but not everything is OK.

After searching the board's forums, I did not find much info on the DO's and DON'Ts for this venture.

Your wisdom and experience would be much appreciated

The only real limitations are what a qualified (Thai) engineer will sign a certificate on - that's all you'll need to get your Jeep street legal. If you're thinking of something totally outrageous, your only challenge will be finding the right guy to sign off on it..
