Motorbike Tour In July-August

i would like to know if the months of july and august are good to drive a motorbike around the countryside of chiang mai or is there too much rain everyday to make it any fun

Better Bring RAIN GEAR. Actually I enjoy riding my Motorcycle during the Raining Season becasue you can see the Mountains a lot better. My experience is you might ride all day and NOT get wet and then again you might get soaked. Riding in and around Chiang Mai is FUN all year round. We love it.

The rains in July and August tend to be localized thundershowers brought along by the summer monsoon rather than the more constant rains in September and October which are brought in by the large frontal systems and typhoons from the China sea. So expect some rains and some delays, but nothing to prevent you from having some great rides.
