Guest Friendly Hotels Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Could anyone give some advise of guest friendly hotels around Chiang Mai. I have been to few places in Thailand and have found most I have pre -booked tend to hit people with a hefty joiner fee.

Im looking to stay at either BP Chiang Mai, Porn Ping Towers or the Suriwongse. My Pref is BP Chiang Mai as it is said to have In house movies were the others dont.

Thanks

Try Veerachai Court, 19 Thapae Road Soi 2. Very popular family run hotel with 180 rooms. I have stayed there for 6 months over the winter for the last 4 years.

Can't vouch for this first-hand, but I've been told before by those who should know that Porn Ping is "guest-friendly".

How long are you wanting to stay for?

Yeah, Veerachai's ok, no pool but alright location. The head honcho(Chinese/Thai lady) behind the counter is a hard woman. The newest block is by far the best, although you may end up with a view of a brick wall if you're in an east-facing room below the 4th floor (only five floors). Month up front + one month rent. Monthly rent is 6,500.

Suriwongsee is one up from Porn Ping IMO and has a better location. Could try Lanna 4 (Royal Lanna) over the road, near McD's.
