Alfa Awus036H Wifi Receiver - Where To Buy In Bkk?

Featured Replies

Anyone know where to buy one of these in Bangkok? I've scoured Panthip Plaza and MBK, but couldn't find this exact model.Where else is good for picking up IT stuff in BKK?

Ive been looking for this too, but so far no luck in Thailand :(

What exactly does this receiver do?

It's a USB to WiFi adapter, only particularly unique thing about it is it's compatible with BackTrack etc, for network uhm... integrity testing.

it's useful for "testing network integrity" true, but it also boosts the amount of bars on the net reception, usually by about one or two (with 100% strength being 5 bars). It really can make all the difference between being able to connect and surf and not sometimes - my laptop has wireless N and some guesthouse signals go from 0-1 bar to 3-4 - that's when it's critical to have the thing.

Hahaha!

Maybe I could slap that bumper sticker on my motorbike - pretty tough to balance the laptop and drive it at the same time, but I've seen more ambitious rig-ups here.

I use to have the same problem until I converted my bike :D

Wow. I've seen some overblown motorbike modifications here, but never one quite like that. Looks comfortable though :)

Reviving an old thread.

Has anyone seen the 2W model being sold in Bangkok?
