Russians involved in shoe shop incident in south Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Two Russian tourists and three Thai men were fined 1,000 baht each by local police following a nighttime incident at a shoe shop in south Pattaya on Thursday night. The two Russians, one aged 27, the other 29, were browsing in the Pattaya Shoes shop, located on the corner of South Pattaya Road and Pratamnak Road, when one of them decided to take a photo inside the premises. This is apparently forbidden and there are signs indicating this, but when one of the staff told the man not to take photos he became offended and gave the staff member the one-fingered salute.

1000 Baht each eh? you could not make this shit up <deleted> !!

somone should have: "put a sock in it"!

What goes on in shoe shops that would need a no photo rule - or is 'shoe shop' some sort of euphemism??

1000 Baht each eh? you could not make this shit up <deleted> !!

1000 baht is pretty hefty for the typical shop clerk.

My point exactly !!! When beach road freelancers and theiving yabba head kathoeys get fined 200 baht and sent on their way to resume their activities !!

Maybe if he wasn't a jerk and gave the one fingered salute he would have been OK. I had an encounter in Jomtien with a drunk Russian last week. It wasn't fun...and it was at lunch time!
