Honda Xr Spare Parts & Driving License Issues

Featured Replies

Would anyone know good shop for Honda XR (400 in my case) spare parts (particularly electric start set, rackets and body kits)?

Secondly, how would one go about getting a motorbike driving license without having one existing one anywhere else already?

Cheers, T

For the first question, try the Thaivisa Motorbike Directory.

As for the second question, go to the nearest Thai Department of Land Transportation office with the following:

1. Passport with valid Non-immigrant Visa. (Individuals with a Tourist Visa don't qualify)

2. Present residence address certified by embassy or Immigration Bureau or work permit.

3. Medical certificate stating good health (must not be older than 30 days)

4. 55 baht for the license fee and 100 baht for the smart card

Then you'll need to take the reaction, theory, and practical driving exam there.

Thanks for quick reply!

Do I need to have my own bike for the practical driving exam, and if yes, can I rent one without a valid driving license?

I rented a bike for 20 baht at the test centre, ask your local office if they have something you can use to take the practical test on.
