Does anyone know where you could hire a car by the month for a more reasonable rate than the daily hire places?

there is a lady renting out cars in chiang mai for reasonable price.just look through the thaivisa classifieds.

i rented a pick up from her(older model,but excellent condition) for 2 weeks when my mother visited.first class insured,600 baht per day.

Try booking online with fastcarhire.co.uk they book for Thai Car Rental but at a cheaper price than you can get by booking direct. The price quoted is all inclusive and for a 1 month rental is about 20% cheaper. I use them for a month rental 2 or 3 times a year excellent service.
