Thai Fruits To Europe On The Plane

Recommended Posts

Never had any problem taking fresh fruit to UK. Used to bring my mother about 5-10 kilos lamyai

mangosteens and mangoes every year

your problem is not how much you can take out of thailand but rather what you can take to your destination. if its uk you are not allowed to import any fresh food at all

UK customs would care more about bringing in fruit that grows in the UK. So peaches or apples may be a problem, but tropical fruit might not..

I took citrus in and told customs and they said it was fine. Going to Australia you would have to dispose of the lot.

As I recall there may be a restriction about how much you can bring in of certain fruits, think it's 2 kg per person. The UKBA have a leaflet called "Bringing fruit vegetable and plant products into the UK". http://customs.hmrc....MCE_PROD_010869

Of course Durian cannot be placed in the hold, it must be taken as hand luggage and consumed on-board.
