Have been wondering about this when I see some mixed famlies about. And also wonder if it causes any embarrassment on either side?

No problems here im at least 20 years younger then her. I can imagine the looks if your older as the MIL.

I'm five years younger than her, but because she had a hard life working in the fields, while I enjoyed a cushy office job, I look at least a generation younger than the mother in law.

I think you should add "I am older than my wife's grandmother".

I don't know how old she is but I'm the same age as my gf older sister so I guess I can safely assume I'm younger than her

My MiL has about 6 months head start on me in life. But like her young and incredibly beautiful daughter, she doesn't mind.

Well 1 human year is 7 dog years and wolves are dogs .... kind of?

But what about cat years. I'm getting worried that I may be older than my cat's mother.

Younger than the MIL but older than an aunt. Very confusing. Hence I avoid the family. Too many noisy children running about anyways.
