Best Family Beach/Area Phuket

Recommended Posts

Hi, sure this question has been answer numerous times, but can't find topic. Was wondering what the best beach/area for a holiday is. Will be travelling with a thai and her kid. Live in chiang mai so will be going during the march holidays. Looking somewhere relatively quiet without the hedonistic sights. A price for guest houses /hotels would also be go. Us northerners don't ask for too much.

Hi

I am no expert, but i would say ''Kata Beach'' is one of the nicest Family Beach Areas..

Patong, would be well worth avoiding, its like Blackpool but with Sun..

Hope that helps..

have a nice holiday..

Cheers

Nai harn is also very nice, but a bit far from restaurants and accomodation

search for accomodation at agodadotcom and latestaysdotcom

Nai Harn used to be good.

It's so overcrowded now, I can't even jog there anymore.

I guess the word spread.

Kata, Kata Noi, Ya Nui beach, Surin, Nai Yang, they are all OK.

march is better than now.

Too many tourists.

Kamala beach is very nice and family friendly.

Plenty of restaurnats on the beach, shady with tress and the water is warm

Plenty of places to stay from 5 star Cape Sienne to GH on the beach and on the main road.

UNLIKE many beaches, (Patong, Karon, Kata) the road does not run NOT alongside the beach

Nai Harn on the south side has a bit of a lagoon with flat water even when the surf is up a bit, so better swimming for smaller kids

Only problem is that about a year ago the connection between lagoon and sea was closed. Now it is only refredhed from the lake, for me reason not to swim thefe anymore.
