To help increase Thai longan exports, Singapore’s leader and ministers are being served the sweet and crispy fruit at all their meals during the Third Thai-Singapore Prime Ministerial Retreat currently taking place at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai.

To begin with, officials were served spicy duck curry with longan during lunch yesterday.

At the informal dinner at the hotel’s French restaurant later that night, they dined on minced duck liver served with sour vanilla cream and longan sauce, as well as vodka sherbet and longan. They drank longan juice.

Every single item on the dessert menu included longan - longan cream cheese pie, look-choob longan, dried baked longan and longan toffee

During talks today, dried baked longan and longan juice will be served.

This is daft.
