Ear Moulds - Alternative To Ear Defenders

Featured Replies

Hi, working offshore I find these bulky Ear defenders at times rather uncomfortable,, A couple of years back the Project I was contracted to fitted us all out with these ear moulds to give us more comfortable hearing protection, however I left for pastures new before they were issued, I was wondering whether there was anywhere this could be sourced in LOS or somewhere in the region??

thanks in advance.

I thought there would have been a few offshore guys in this neck of the woods that could offer some feedback on this,,,,,,,,,,, I know there are mould kits available, but anywhere close to LOS would be good to get fitted up,,,,,

thanks

Sorry bro. I doubt there is any off-shore folks on this forum. The idea is kind of funny to consider...

This crew would never stand for hearing protection. It would make hearing their own voice to difficult :)

Try going to an audiologist. I have seen numerous "in-canal" type hearing aids, so it isn't as if the technology isn't available here.

I bet if you asked an audiologist they can assist you.

Let's move this over to the Health, Body and Medicine forum. Maybe we can get some more traction there?

Topic Moved. :)

Yes I understand that southpeel, but just thought I may have come across someone from around here that was wearing these custom fit ones, I'll have a word with the Audiologist when i'm back to LOS next week, see whether he can point me in the right direction,, I wear the Peltor Ear defenders, I do wear the foam from time to time, but just looking for something a bit less cumbersome and more comfortable to wear

thanks
