Driving Into Tland From Malaysia In Personal My Registered Auto

Featured Replies

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has had this experience, searched threads but info was old and mostly driving into Malaysia w Thai car.

Have B visa in Thailand, and also MMSH visa MY

car is registered i n Malaysia under my name.

Can I cross into Thailand easily and for how long can the car stay?

Thank you in advance

TW

Our cross border auto insurance was for 30 days.

If staying longer, need to extend and pay extra.

You can stay as long as your visa is valid or gets extended.

Just a few stops for insurance and having the customs check your paperwork. Be sure to give the Thais their little piece of paper on your way out or it will be 1000 Baht fine the next time you want to try again.
