Hello, I think I may have made a mistake. I am currently in Singapore to get my Thai visa. I thought I had read somewhere that you picked it up the day after you go in meaning this would be Tuesday. Now everything I can find says 2 days. Is this right? If I drop off my passport tomorrow at the consulate will it be Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon for collection? I have a flight booked for 7AM Wednesday morning so I am a bit buggered if it is the latter.

thanks for your help

Submit application in the morning, pick up visa next day in afternoon. But make sure that you have all required documents of that particular consulate, such as flight ticket into Bangkok and flight ticket out of Bangkok. If you don't meet their requirements you may have to go and sort things out and return the next day to submit.

Today = one day

Tomorrow = one day

Total = two days

Would be better to say next day I agree, but not always true, as a holiday could change that.

Why hasn't anyone updated the Current Visa Availability Summary From Neighboring Countries as I requested here: http://www.thaivisa....st__p__4206848. I think that page needs to be better managed instead of leaving it static.

This morning I replied in that thread with the following:

The information in the summary is correct, only single tourist visa. What needs to be added is the requirement to show proof of onward travel, but we do want to check the information before we make an adjustment.

We highly appreciate reports like yours, as they give good insight in the current policy of a consulate and make us aware of changes. But we cannot always change information based on 1 post. Posted information from a consulate on their website is often more strict than in practice.

We really would like to have some more confirmation.

I've been to the RTE on 3 seperate occaisions last year. Each time I was asked for flight info out of Singapore. The last trip they recquired proof of onward travel leaving LOS before processing. Never was i asked for a bank statement. They are consistent in their inconsistancies......
