Yum Mamuang (Thai Mango Salad)

Featured Replies

Can't seem to find an authentic recipe for Thai mango salad on the internet. Most seem to add different ingredients that would not normally be included if in country. Any suggestions welcomed ....

Have a look at http://www.shesimmers.com/2011/02/green-mango-salad-with-grilled-shrimp.html

Thanks, that one is pretty close to what I tried tonight. It wasn't too bad. The recipe I tried tonight had a small amount of mint leaf in it. It wasn't bad but the flavor was a little unusual. I prefer yum mamuang to be tart and tangy with the shallot and chili in the background, just like good som tam.
