Hi

There are 2 ways to do this.

Plan A

Go to one of the numerous travel agencies in Pattaya / Jomtien a go on an escorted excursion.

They pick you up at your accommodation and drop you off.

They can take you in the morning or afternoon.

The price varies but is around 1200 - 1500 baht a head. ???

This includes entrance fee and a meal at the end.

They organise for you to be at the shows on time and even get ring side seats as well.

Plan B

Try an find Sri Ratcha Zoo on highway 7 by driving there your self.

On the 2nd day after you have figured out what might be the correct exit off to the left - turn left.

Day 3 - After you have been to Chonburi, you find out that soon after turning off you have make a death defying U turn and come back over the high way, and head off to the zoo which could be 3, 4, 5 or somewhere in between or more Km beyond there on the left.

Get to the ticket counter and pay 3 to 5 times more than locals.

Wander around hopefully arriving at the correct location to see the shows.

End up right at the back row of seats behind a league of nations blocking your view with your video camera.

Leave exhausted, hot and bothered full of dread at finding the correct entrance to Highway 7.

Follow signs to Rayong, Bang Chang, and Sahtahip.

In Sahtahip you will see signs to get you back up the coast on highway 3.....stop well before Chonburi this time and turn left to Pattaya/Jomtien.

have a great day ! :jap:

Itsa good day out, there was time to walk from one show to another, I went 2 years ago I think I paid 350 whilst locals 120. Look out for the bridge across the crocodiles at one end it said maximun of 30 people but no one was counting!!!!!!!

Lone wolf has it right about Plan B .There are signs and you turn left and do a loop under the highway if i remember correctly,

I am not too sure about having the falung price but i was the only one in a vehicle overloaded with Thai family - maybe they thought too much trouble to seperate the admission charges.

Was not all that impressed with the zoo but the week before we had visited Singapore Zoo which is excellent and has a lot of Singaore Government backing . Best thing is not to comparewith other zoo's and just go and enjoy yourself, I know my Thai family and friends had a great time there so just go with the flow.

Posters seems to be commenting on either Sri Racha Tiger Zoo or Khao Kheow Open zoo.

Which one do you want?

Both are signposted and easy to find.

Both charge more for Farangs than Thai but you can get the Thai price with a driving license.

No extra charges inside except at Khao Kheow which charges 20 Baht to go into the penguin enclosure.

If you want to feed animals at either place you have to buy the food, or take your own.

Go early for both places before they get packed, especially on this long weekend.

I hope this place has improved exponentially to the point of off the scale from when we visited it about five years ago: Piglets 'wearing' tiger waistcoats suckling from a lactating tigress; A small compound containing an ageing mongrel dog, a large piglet and a tiger cub, all fighting for dominance. Ugh! Didn't it get closed down for a while because it was breeding and killing it's tigers to order for the Chinese 'spare parts' market?
