At last the Australian Embassy in Bangkok is only issuing electronic visas to Thai passport holders. No more full page, pasted visas just a note to say you have been successful.

The electronic visa has been available for over a year now and I do not think that it will ever be possible for Thais to get a visa on line. My ex partner received three single entry tourist visas however the Embassy refused to issue a multiple entry vis on the grounds that the relationship could break down. It turns out that they were right!

We had no problem getting TW a 12 Month multi entry.

But, a friend applied at the Aust embassy in Laos a few months ago and had the usual orange colored stamp placed in the passport. We are located near Nong Khai and any number of expat and Thais, up here, apply for visas at the various Embassies in Vientiane rather than go to Bangkok.
