PM: Pink capped palm oil to be distributed nationwide in 2 days

BANGKOK, 27 February 2011 (NNT) - Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said during his weekly program "Confidence in Thailand with PM Abhisit" that pink capped palm oil will be distributed nationwide in 2 days, promising that there will be no more shortage of palm oil in the future.

During his weekly TV program on Sunday, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva started the show by speaking about people affected by palm oil shortage.

The Prime Minister said in the next couple of days pink capped palm oil will be distributed nationwide selling at 47 baht/bottle, adding that the public should not panick or hoard the palm oil as the situation of palm oil shortage is easing. He believe that it will return to normal very soon. He also said that there would be another meeting on 8 March to discuss on the matter again.

Mr. Abhisit also promised that there would be no palm oil shortage again in the future, while asking people not to panic as there would be no price raising and palm oil would be enough for everybody.

This business should never have got the stage where Thais could not get it in the shops. This news is very welcome and a big cheer for our man at the top.:jap:
