Train Hits Pickup

Featured Replies

thai radio is reporting a collision between a yala-bangkok train and a pickup carrying kids home from school.

it seems that 10 children have been killed and many injured.

it sounds awful.

the accident happened in the south near yala.

anybody hear anything about this.?

Shame about the kids, of course, but the title should almost certainly state "Pickup Gets In Way Of Train." Let's keep responsibility where it clearly belongs; with the driver of the pickup, who almost certainly took a foolish risk, and with the government for not putting in proper signals and crossing gates.

I've been on trains that have hit vehicles. The thump is unmistakable and the carnage is horrifying.
