Where Can I Buy Finesteride/Propecia/Proscar In Bkk

I am coming into Bangkok for just 2 days, and need to buy some finesteride which can be a Thai or Indian brand, of under the brand name of "Proscar" or "propecia."

Does someone know of a pharmacie on or near Sukhumvit in Bangkok to buy this?

If someone can help, it'll be much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure they sell in in Boots.

Other than that try the large pharmacy just after the petrol station on the corner of Soi 4. They sell most things there.

Ask for Finpecia, about 75% less than Propecia, but not available at all pharmacies. Proscar goes under the name Harifin-5. I have found both drugs at Morya Pharmacy in Koh Samui, but don't know where you can get it in BKK.

These drugs are for prostatitis and can be prescribed in England by your GP.

The other use is for hair growth, which would not warrant a prescription.

I assume you want them for the latter.

I am not preaching, but look thoroughly into the side-effects, particularly those with regards libido.

There are better ways to address this problem ie. Regaine of which there are cheaper versions (5% minoxidil) now on the market.

Good luck my friend.

The old lady in the pharmacy opposite the "Old German Beerhouse" in Suk. 11 is usually very accomodating with these "fringe" drugs.

Thanks for the reply and info, StateSix.

Where is, "Boots?"

Thanks.

Cheers, I bought Harifin-5 in the past and was happy with it.

Correct. It's to prevent hair loss.

Thanks for the note. I first got presriced by finesteride in the US in 1998. I had no side effects and have taken it ever since. As for the side-effect of a diminishing libido, it's only in 1-2% of people who take it, and then it usually (but not alway) fades away.

I tried Rogaine and 5% Minoxidil. It did not work for me at all.

Finesteride not only prevented my hair loss, but I actually grew my hair back, which does happen in some males who take finesteride.

Recent studies of finesteride in recent years have strengthened it's success rate, and further proven it does (in a high % of males) work.

Also, my doctor from the US recent cited some studies that you can get the benefits of finesteride by taking less than the prescribed 1 MG per day.

Thanks for the response. Cheers.

Good luck my friend.

Thanks for the not on this. I assume it's Soi 11 off of Sukhumvit. Thanks.

Why so touchy?

I work in the medical profession and would not prescibe any of those drugs for hair loss/growth (you are contradictory about this.)

Minoxidil works gradually on all patients. It can be expensive but is proven and you need to take it regulaly forever.

Incidentally,

Propecia:

5mg daily YEAR 1. Percentage of men experiencing impotence = 8.1%. This decreases eg. to about 5% in Year 2.

Decreased libido Yr. 1 = 6.4% Also decreases yearly.

Based upon clinical studies both in U.S. and U.K.

Not touchy. Just noting my usage of Minoxidill and finesteride.

If I sound contradictory, I'll clarify.

I was prescribed or bought OTC (can're remember) in the US - Minoxidil. Didn't work.

I was prescribed finesteride at 1 MG per day (not 5 mg) in 1998.

Works great. No side effects. Been using it every since. I've recommended that friends take it, and they have are they are happy with the results.

Thanks for info on the Boots location, beechboy.

I appreciate your info, cheers.

Yes 1mg. I should have remembered.

No problems, just that I (we) consider that any medication that unecessarily interfers with a young man's (and I assume you are quite young) hormonal balance for a non-essential reason is to be avoided, especially when there are alternatives

.

Minoxidil might not be as instant, but it works and is safer in the long run..

Originally a drug intended for heart problems and created by Finnish doctors, it was found by accident that, after a while it promoted hair growth. This is now it's main useage.

Viagra was similar. Originally intended as a heart drug, it was created by Pfizer at their Sandwich site in S.E. England. They used local men as guinea pigs and paid them accordingly. When it was decided that the drug was not effective for the original purpose Pfizer asked for a recall of all the unused drugs. When none were returned they wanted to find out why. Hence the institution that is Viagra.

I am not putting you down in any way, but as a practising anaesthetist, I have come to be wary of the constant use of any drug, let alone one that is not necessary. Propecia is mostly prescribed to elderly men whose libido is shot in any case and are not so bothered about being impotent..

If you work in the medical prof then you will know,

It blocks the enzyme that converts Test to DHT and accessive DHT in the scalp causes baldness (if its in your genes), in skin oil and prostate englargement. So it saves hair loss, prostate cancer and oily skill - downside it causes libido loss in 2-3% of people. Rogain is a very weak anti dht in the scalp only, so take a guess which one is more effective.

OP if you can't get it, I would suggest ordering it off any steroid websites as it's more commonly used and sold there. Usually a lot cheaper then thai pharmas, seems to be diffiuclt to get hold of here compared to roids and such.

If you have bought it, send me a pm of where and how much as im interested in knowing (my hairs fine :P)

Thanks again Beechboy and Sam666.

Also with my 1 MG daily usage, I don't take it on every 4th day. This is too avoid the "hormonal" issue.

I am aware, that taking over 1 MG per day can cause breast development, small breasty looks on a male.

If I find it, I'll let you know where, Sam666.

I agree with Beechboy, that daily usage of any medication is not worth it unless absolutely necessary.

The only way I can think of it causing breast tissue development (gyno) is that by blocking the Test to DHT conversion. The test increases and the conversion to estrogen is higher, but sounds rare to me. If you ever get tender nipples or inflamed, go to any pharmacy and get (tamoxifen or Clomifene) will sort the issue out before you grow any bitch tits.
