spog Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 I've just been told that the whole company is having a health-check. Blood-test, x-ray, the works. I interrogated HR - it's not for insurance purposes. It's a compulsary government thing? Company pays for the health check on behalf of the employees. What worries me is that the results go to HR who then pass this onto the employees. I trust HR about as far as I could throw them. Can anyone fill me on the legalities of this and the privacy protection I am entitled to?

You must have had a check up before you got your work permit, if this is a government requirement I doubt it will bw any more serious. After all this is Thailand. If you want to test the legalities, just say No, or request to get the results straight from the Doctor, not via HR.
