Hello all,

I would be grateful for any advice please on my situation. I am a UK citizen and I have a triple entry Tourist Visa (free), I have just used my final entry and I only have until 21 April 2011. Would I be able to extend my visa in Bangkok? If so how long would I get?

I don't really want to have to go back to the UK to get another visa, previously I had a Non-immg 'O' multiple entry from Hull. I'm thinking that I could perhaps go to Cambodia, Vietnam or Laos to get a new visa? I would rather not go to Malaysia as I've just been there recently. I know that the tourist visa is only free until 31 March 2011, Where are the best places to go to get a visa and which visa do you think I could get? If I got another tourist visa could I get 3 entry and how much would it be? I had a look at Jack Golf website and it looks like you can get a single entry visa for 5000 baht (inc transport etc). But really would want more than a single entry.

The other thing I should mention is that I recently got married to a Thai lady but we have not yet registered the marriage (but plan to do so soon). If we do this and get the marriage certificate will this give me more options? I've done a bit of research into this but think maybe it wont help me because I cannot show 400,000 baht in a Thai bank ac nor can I show I have 40,000 baht a month income.

Thank you for any replies

Sorry I do not understand the bit about the marriage bit, you are not married in the eyes of the Law until you get it registered at the Amphur and receive the Marriage Certificate. Before you even get that far there is a lot of work to be done in Bangkok.

Just get yourself tourist visas, until you get legally married and meet the requirements

You can get a 30 day extension of permission to stay for 1900 Baht if you haven't done so already.

Apply for additonal Tourist Visas.

If you get the marriage documents processed properly, you could apply for a single entry Non-immigrant "O" Visa.

If can show 100K in the bank you could apply for a one year multi-entry Non-immigrant "O" a KL, Malaysia.

The 40K income or 400K in the bank is a requirement for a one year extension of stay based on marriage, it isn't a visa.

As said above. You will not obtain a 3 entry tourist visa near Thailand and even a 2 entry would likely be refused most places (although Cambodia may be an exception).
